Louder Speaker with Nordic Thingy 52

The out-of-box configuration of Thingy 52 has a  89dB, 8 ohm, 0.7W speaker. 

Can I replace that with a much louder speaker such as 4W or 5W one 4 ohm or 8 ohm?

Sure, you can. But it won't be louder. You need an amplifier to increase the volume.
