Corrupt data detected, please check connection to PPK.

I have configured the dev kit by cutting the SB9 bridge.

I am powering the device from the J2 USB port on the DK.

I have not bridged SB12 or SB11 as I am powering the device from USB.

I mounted the PPK to the DK  ensuring all pins are aligned and seated.

I opened Power Profiler v2.3.1 and I get the following log messages:

09:59:51.543 App initialized
09:59:51.545 Application data folder: /Users/ajuskovic/Library/Application Support/nrfconnect/pc-nrfconnect-ppk
09:59:52.410 Error while probing devices: Error occured when get serial numbers. Errorcode: CouldNotCallFunction (0x9) Lowlevel error: INVALID_OPERATION (fffffffe)
My device appears under the list of devices. When selected I get the following log messages:

10:03:56.203 PPK closed

The USB connection to the DK works for SES debugging and the device runs our firmware just fine when SB9 is restored.
Running on macOS Catalina 10.15.6. Connected via USB-C hub.
