Power consumption on nRF Connect SDK v1.4.0 Zephyr on nRF52832 DK

I have compiled the example application ncs\v1.4.0\zephyr\samples\boards\nrf\system_off configured for the nRF52dk_nRF52832

This example consumes 450-500uA (SB9 cut).... 100times more than I would expect. Is there no power optimization when using zephyr? Performance like this would make any project based on this source base flop or fail the say it kindly... Might I be doing something wrong or is the nRF Connect SDK this bad compared to the nRF5 SDK

Hello,

System off should work the same whether you are using Zephyr or nRF5 SDK, it's the same registers that are being written to. My guess is that the nrf52 is not in system off for some reason. Did you make any modifications to the example code? Can you share?

I get a static 420-500uA power consumption

I have not enabled the RTT: I updated some stuff that should not matter. Not at least after reopening the project I not get a floor power consumption of average 5,7uA. Way better than 450 but still not where I would expect

Don't needed the RTT.

But when I did this  ( got the out goping with the reset btn ) then floor average ends up at 19,5uA ?!?!

 You did what? I don't really understand what this means.

After programming it seems the program does not run, so pressing DK reset button prints out the text from above. Then the DK consumes about 19uA after the last print. Using the PPK2 to measure

Is the DK USB powered? In that case you should change to external power supply, for example battery. And remove the USB cable. This is so that there is no noise from the USB.
