ble_app_uart not showing characteristics

I have seen other post on this issue but they are not helping.   I am using the bmd 330 to run ble_app_uart.   It compiles and advertises correctly but does not send the tx and rx characteristics to nRF connect.   I am using SDK 17.0.2.  When I use nRF toolkit on the uart app it tells me that the service is not supported.

Which ble_app_uart example are you using? The BMD 330includes the nRF52810, which does not have a project for the nRF52810 hardware by default. I assume you're using the pca10040e (emulated nRF52832DK as nRF52810) project. To transfer this emulated project to work on nRF52810 HW you need to remove the DEVELOP_IN_NRF52832 and NRF_COREDEP_DELAY_US_LOOP_CYCLES defines from compile flags. I did do that but the NUS services don't appear.   They do appear on the BMD 300.   Is it possible to get the NUS services to work on the BMD 330, I need to do that.   Otherwise moving to the BMD 300 is an option.
