Error: cannot find run section .cli_sorted_cmd_ptrs_run referenced in cli_sorted_cmd_ptrs

Question

I'm editing the Github example [ble_app_uart__saadc_timer_driven__scan_mode] . I'm using: 
 - nRF52 DK (nRF52832) 
 - SoftDevice: s132_nrf52_7.2.0_softdevice.hex 
 - SDK: nRF5_SDK_17.0.2_d674dde 
 
 I have changed RAM to RAM1 in flash_placement.xml. When I upload the code to nRF52 DK, I saw this error 
 cannot find run section .cli_sorted_cmd_ptrs_run referenced in cli_sorted_cmd_ptrs 
 
 please help, thanks!

Hello, 
 What changes did you do in the flash_placement.xml, and why? Please note that adding white spaces may corrupt this file. 
 Did you also do the same changes in your project settings? There are a few places in the Linker section that you need to change this in SES (Segger Embedded Studio), such as: 
 
 Linker -> Memory Segments 
 Linker -> Section Placement Macros 
 
 Please remember to set the selection to "Common" before changing these:

And why do you need to change the memory settings? Did you see the same issues before doing the changes? Did you try to use SDK17.0.0, which the github repository says that the example is made in/for?

Problem solved! 
 
 Since I'm using SDK17.0.2, so according to SDK17.0.2 instruction :

Compatibility of SES projects:

Updates and fixes in the MDK used by Segger Embedded Studio break backwards compatibility
with old SES project files.
To use old projects in combination with this version of the SDK (MDK),
make the following updates:

1. In the flash_placement.xml file:
 MemorySegment name must be changed from "RAM" to "RAM1":
 <MemorySegment name="RAM1" start="$(RAM_PH_START)" size="$(RAM_PH_SIZE)">

2. In the .emProject file:
 In "linker_section_placements_segments" you must refer to "RAM1", replacing "RAM":
 linker_section_placements_segments="FLASH RX 0x0 0x100000;RAM1 RWX 0x20000000 0x40000"

***** According to step 1, that's why I modified RAM to RAM1 in flash_placement.xml file. However, for this example, step 2, I only changed RAM to RAM1 in linker_section_placements_segments. I didn't change FLASH and RAM address. My code still works well. Cheers
