nRF52840 Internal temperature sensor accuracy

Hi,

As per nRF52840 datasheet, the accuracy of internal temperature sensor is ±5°C. We want our device to be operational between 5°C to 40°C.

When we tested this extreme temperature range(1°C to 45°C), we found that the Internal temperature sensor were accurate. Hence we assume that this ±5°C accuracy applies to extreme temperatures mentioned in the micro datasheet(40 and +85).

Can you please confirm the same? Or can you let us know what would be the accuracy of the internal temperature sensor with different ambient temperature range?

Please note that we are not running any high throughput code/commands, hence we believe that the internal temperature sensor is not effected by the heat generated by the micro controller.

The offset at room temperature (25 °C) is +/- 2.5°C, while the overall accuracy across all temperatures is +/- 5°C, where the offset will be higher at extreme temperatures, and lower in the middle.

We don't have the exact accuracy at every possible temperature, but the accuracy at 5°C  and 40°C should be within +/- 5°C.

I have one more question, do you know how the accuracy pattern is at extreme temperatures?

Like in, for example at  absolute temperature of 50°C, is the accuracy of the system
0°C to 5°C
       or
-5°C to +5°C
       or
-5°C to 0°C   ?

Same applies to 0°C absolute temperature.
