SES License having issues with MAC address

Hi,

I've followed the instructions to apply the free Nordic license for SES but it doesn't seem to like the MAC address. You can see from the attached images that the MAC address matches both what Windows thinks it is and what the "diagnose license problems" options finds ... so I'm stuck?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Lee.

  • Hi

How did you acquire this MAC address? Could you try to paste it into a text editor before copying it again so that any format issue can be ruled out?

If that doesn't help, please make sure you don't have any expired licenses in SES. If you do, please delete the expired license before trying to add this one.

    Best regards,

    Simon

  • Not sure what you mean by "how did you acquire the MAC access?" ... the first time around I cut and paste it from the virtualisation system that I'm using, but double checked it with the Win10 network settings, and then further with the "diagnose problems" dialog.

I've just tried doing it again but manually typing it in. It still doesn't work -- exactly the same issue. It looks correct in the license string (in a section that has an "M" followed by the Mac address.

    There are no expired licenses.

  • Hi

I mean, if you do call the ipconfig/all command in cmd, you should see several MAC/physical addresses. The correct one should be the "ethernet" address (seems to be the one you're using), and the formatting when "copy-pasting" the address may cause issues in SEGGER.

You might have to contact SEGGER regarding this issue, as I'm not familiar with various virtual machines etc.

    Best regards,

    Simon
