Performing USB-DFU to NRF9160 through NRF Connect Programmer app in a board other than Thingy:91

Hello everyone,

I'd like to perform a DFU through the USB port on my custom NRF9160 board (DFU over UART) using the NRF Connect Programmer App.

I already did the Firmware setup to configure MCUBoot and have seen it working with command-line tools (mcumgr) fine.

My issue here is that I see the Programmer application not enabling the "Write" button even though:
- The Board is connected through USB and in DFU mode
- The MCUBoot checkbox is checked.
- The hex image is loaded.

Here is an image to illustrate better what I mean by "Enable Write button"

I also see this does not happen when you do the same procedure with the Thingy:91.

Could you provide some assistance on what alternatives I have in order to achieve this?

Thanks in advance!

LuisF.
