Interesting question, since the upcoming Bluetooth 4.1 will have peripheral-to-peripheral communication and it will be released later this year (only 70 days to go). This makes sense in so many use cases; it actually eats into ANT+ territory!
I don't know what the new feature will be called, "dual mode" or "dual role" etc., but I guess S120 is just following the new spec -- Bluetooth 4.1.
Here's a report from geekwire: www.geekwire.com/.../
Edit: forgot to answer the question. I guess it will be Q1 2014 :)
For an official answer to this question, as well as the exact capabilities of the S120, you should get in touch with your local sales manager. If you don't have his contact information, please send me a PM with your location.
Edit: The S120 is now available as a public beta, if you have a product key from either an nRF51822 Development or Evaluation Kit. The regular nRF51 SDK from version 5.1.0 onwards contains some code examples showing how it can be used.
Thanks for answering, Ling, but just to make it clear: This is a customer speculating, and not an official Nordic answer. :)
We can unfortunately not comment on this question here, so see my other answer here for our official policy on this kind of questions.
@Ole - Definitely just my wishful thinking :D
Wish you'll bring more and more interesting stuff to the market.
