nRF9160 LTE-M connection with test Callbox

Hi,

I am currently working on a production test bench for products with nRF9160 and soldered SIM cards.
To test them, I'll connect them to an Amarisoft Callbox mini through LTE-M.

The documentation of the Callbox states that the Authentication should be disabled on UE side in order to be able to connect with commercial SIM cards (not the test SIM cards provided with the callbox).

What exactly should be done on the nRF9160 to achieve that ?
I am currently testing with an nRF9160DK with LTE Link Monitor on nRF Connect for Desktop.

Best regards,
Mehdi

  • Hello Øyvind,

Yes I have, but I don't think it mention anything to do on the nRF9160 side. I don't have much knowledge in the LTE-M/Callbox field, so it's very possible that I missed something.

The same stuff as in my first post is explained slightly differently here:

What option should be used with the nRF9160 ? The 1) or the 2) ?
Do you have any idea what "the command at UE side to skip both the authentication and security mode control procedures" might be ?

    Thanks for your support.

    Best regards,
    Mehdi
