How to design a dongle supported LE audio?

Hello Tech Support Team,

We are looking for a solution that can support LE audio. We currently use CSR8675 to make a Bluetooth dongle.

In order to support LE Audio, we would like to know if your product supports LE audio as a source function.

Thanks.

  • Hi Peter,

Sorry for the very long delay.

"The nRF5340 will be the recommended SoC for LE Audio support, as the dual core solution will allow it to run both the radio and the required LC3 codec (which will require a dedicated processor)." This is quoted from another LE Audio related post that might answer some of your questions. The answers are still valid.

The implementation of both USB + LC3 on the same device could be challenging but should be possible. The challenge is the required CPU power, which is related to the number of audio streams.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Best Regards,

    Håkon
