Peripheral UART on the nRF9160-DK

Hello, I am trying to use the Peripheral UART code with the nRF9160-DK. I followed this guide https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/nrf-connect-sdk-guides/b/getting-started/posts/nus-on-ncs-the-nordic-uart-service-with-the-nrf-connect-sdk and was able to  successfully download the zephyr.elf to the target, but I do not see the device show up on Bluetooth on the nRF Connect mobile app.

You can not run BLE examples on the nRF9160 DK, because the nRF9160 does not support BLE. However, you can run the BLE host part on the nRF9160 and the BLE controller on a chip that supports BLE, e.g. the nRF52840.

Check out the lte_ble_gateway to get an idea how to do this:

From my understanding the nRF9160DK comes with the nRF52480 on board. I am trying to run this example on the nRF52480 on the nRF9160DK.

Okay, have you done the following:

• Set SW5 to nRF52
• Program the example using the board nrf9160dk_nrf52840

Thank you. I was not programming the example using the correct board, I was using the nrf52840 board. Changing it to the correct board allowed me to program the example properly.
