Hi,
I also only see information about the cell I am conencted to, while one of my colleagues gets information about 2 others as well.
I have asked the modem team to comment on why we don't get information about any neighbouring cells, but it would be helpful if you could take a modem trace for them to look at.
Also, what SIM card/network operator are you using?
Best regards,
Didrik
Hello Didrik, do you have already some information about that?
Kind regards,
Manuel
Hi, I sent you a modem trace via private message. I triggered NCELLMEAS multiple times after the connection was established.
Kind regards,
Manuel
I have also sent a private message containing a modem trace for the NRF9160DK v0.9.0. It indicates that multiple networks can be found but NCELLMEAS only reports a single cell. I have also tried both before and after connecting to the network, without any change.
I have moved my test setup around a bit and I can report that indeed I get a single neighbor, but only sometimes, even when in open air. From the webinar from today I understand that the cells your can find using this functionality depends on some configuration of your network provider and may depend on the country you are active in.
It would be great to get cells from all networks from the various providers active in your country. In my case I would get at least 3 cells at any time in The Netherlands.
