Running Nordic Open Thread Border Router image on RPI Zero W

Hello,

I am currently creating a product, and i wanted to make it as cost effective as possible. So i was considering using RPi Zero W for Thread Border router setup. I know Nordic only support there devices etc. 

But i would like to know in general, whether i can use Nordic border router image on RPi Zero W ? Have anyone tried this ? Any sort of information or guidance will be useful.

Sorry i didn't mentioned clearly. I was referring to the examples given in NCS/nrf/samples/openthread directory. It had only limited examples as compared to NRF5 SDK for thread. 

I would like to elaborate my project a little bit so that you can guide better. I have successfully created a Thread Network using NCS COAP client and server example. My thread network  also includes a Border Router with nRF52840-dk connected as RCP device.

Now what i want to achieve is sending the data from all the nodes in thread network in fixed interval of time to my RCP device connected to Border Router. From border router i will be sending data to Cloud over WiFi connection. 

I can use both COAP or MQTT protocol although, MQTT is preffered. 

So can you please guide me, how can i achieve this task.

If you can use CoAP then I suggest using this for the proof of concept, or integrate the Simple MQTT sample into your Thread application.
