LPN cannot be configured remotely

Currently, I am getting an error with a low power node when the remote cannot configure through another regular node in a mesh network. What causes me to get this error?

I don't know if it's a bug or not. Does when a node in a mesh network configures it will send configuration request information to the nearest node to send configuration information to the server? currently, my LPN can't use config by that. i am wondering if this is an error caused by using node friend or mesh_lpn?

As far as I understand, when I have not configured 2 nodes to the same network, it is not possible to make friends between that node and LPN node right?
What I am facing now is that it is not possible to configure the normal way of mesh network operation when Lpn cannot be configured through another node.

Hi,

Mesh communication can only happen between two devices that are in the same network, yes.

If your low power node only acts as LPN, e.g. does not act as a normal node if not in a friendship, and does not support the GATT bearer, then it needs to find a Friend node in order for you to get access to it for configuration, yes.

Hi,

You need to provision the nodes (the Friend node and the Low Power node) into the same network. Once the devices are both provisioned, they should be able to communicate on the network. You should then be able to configure the node (also if the communication between configuration client and configuration server goes via relay nodes, friend nodes, proxy nodes, etc.

The friendship gets established without user interaction. It happens automatically between Friend nodes and Low Power nodes in the same network.

I need more information in order to help. Where / when / at what stage do you get an error? What guide or description are you following for testing this out? What SDK and example are you using?
