I have downloaded the DTM firmware and connected it according to the serial port pins defined in the figure below,

The selection of GPIO pins are pin 18 for RX and pin 16 for TX.but it keep getting error:Can not communicate with device. Make sure it is not in use by another application and that it has a Direct Test Mode compatible firmware when start test DTM with nrf conncet.

But the same firmware, using the 52832 development board does not have this error.

Please give me some suggestions what should i do.

The DTM application (dtm/direct_test_mode/main.c) also initializes LEDs and buttons via main.c::bsp_board_init(). Do the LEDs/buttons overlap with your pin definition for RXD and TXD?

yes, the led overlap with my pin definition for RXD, But i have changed the pin definition(As shown below).and only initialize LED in DTM application: bsp_board_leds_init()

I still get an error, it's weird.

But if i used the 52832 development board does not have this error,it was ok.

My deepest apologies, I thought you had the same chip on your custom board.

Yes, you have to use and compile the "pca10040e" project for nRF52810/811 devices, as they do not have hardware floating point.
