Nordic RFM5114 produced for Axzon( former RFMicron)

We have a RFID sensor reader part number RFM5114 , manufactured by Nordic , the sensors we use to read are RFM2100 Magnus S2 tag. Now we have to read sensors RFM2121 Magnus S3D tag. According to the Axzon information, both sensors have different memory maps . We need to know from Nordic about the latest software that can incorporate changes that will allow this reader to read Magnus S3D tag from Axzon. Would you have an updated sw? attached you will find tech information on the sensors.

  • Hello,

I am a bit confused as we don’t make sensors.

Nordic Semiconductor is a fabless semiconductor company that specializes in ultra-low power wireless SoC in the 2.4Ghz band and power management devices (PMIC)

I looked at Axzon’s web site and did not see Nordic mentioned.

I did look at the product brochure for the RFM2120 which operates in the Sub-GHz band.

Also the  wireless device seems to be more of a passive  RFID type device.  http://rfmicron.com/magnus-family/

The RFM2121 I believe is using the Magnus S2 IC where the  Magnus S3D is called out as RFM3300-D Magnus®-S3 M3D.

Both of these are Sub-Gig passive devices.

Check out this link as I think it is what you are looking for.

    https://www.nordicid.com/contact-us/

I see where having “Nordic” in their name that might get confusing. They do have an  office in Finland hence the “Nordic” connection.

    I hope this helped.

    Best regards,
