Thingy91 console LTE Monitor viewing lost

Hi Team,

I am working with a few Thingy91's. I have noticed an issue in viewing the Thingy91 output on LTE Link monitor for a few Thingy's.

The 1st Thingy connection in the pic below says connected with UART, and I can view its log on the LTE Link monitor console.

The 2nd Thingy connection says MCUBOOT, and I am unable to see its log on the LTE Link monitor.

The code running is the same for both Thingy's and they work, its just I am unable to view the 2nd Thingy's output on the Link monitor console.

Is there a way to get the 2nd one back to functioning like the 1st one (like with a precompiled firmware or so).

Hi,

It looks like the second Thingy (the one you don't get any logs from) are in boot loader mode. This probably happened because you held SW4 while the Thingy was powered on.

To exit bootloader mode, simply powering the Thingy off and on again (while you make sure not to press any of the buttons) should be enough.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I powered it off and then turned it on but still its the same. I did not touch the SW4 switch before as well.

Any other method to get it off the bootloader mode ?

The device should boot the application, unless you hold one of the buttons.

But, it is possible that there is something wrong with the application.

Could you try to program the newest version of the connectivity_bridge to the nRF52840?

If you have an external debugger (such as an nRF9160 DK), that would probably be the best. If not, you should be able to use USB as well.
