Combined hex file flash download to nrf2840 need a power off and power on to run the code

dear nordic team,

                           I was working on nrf52840 with nrf5sdk v 17.0.1 and sd v7.3 .Im using mergehex tool to combine bootloader+softdevice + App to download it to flash(using jflash tool) it is download fine  but the issue is we need to power off and then power on the device to get the code to run that we have downloaded else the code is not running.Is this an issue then how it can be solved ?.with downloading the application code and softdevice using segger ide there is no issues  without combining .thanks in advance

Hello,

Is your J-flash project configured to reset the device on exit (i.e. after the FW image has been loaded). You need a reset for program execution to start.

Thanks for your reply . The setting configuration in the above picture is what you are asking.But on exit i have put that to blank

i tried this but it didn't worked .both tried only reset and reset with Go

Hi,

I currently don't have access to a J-flash , so I'm unable to verify on my end. But have you tried to see if you can start execution manually from Jflash.exe?

Target -> Manual programming -> Start Application
