PPK2 bricked and firmware update fails

I've was able to use brand new PPK2 to make test measurements few days ago and it was working fine. I've connected the unit today and software have issue recognising the device. I unplugged and plugged PPK2 back into USB and it never turned green, blinking fast red. I've followed instructions to short TP34 and ground. The kit shows up in nRF Connect and I click "Yes" to update firmware but device never comes back. I've tried mac and windows and never was able to successfully update the firmware.

  • Hi Vladimir,

The fast blinking of the LED in red is not normally observed. It might be because the firmware that was flashed is not correct. Following the steps mentioned in the ticket that I shared previously should have helped Could you try upgrading your JLink version to v7.60g (the latest version) with the latest nRF connect for desktop and try once more.?

    Best Regards,
