Nrf52840 Dongle

Hi

This is the first time I have tried to use the nrf52840 dongle and nrf connect, when I plug in the dongle I can see it under device drivers and when I start  Bluetooth Low Energy (nrf connect)

I can see the dongle but when I click start scan it said device must be programmed I click Yes and  I get,     failed to write to target device: async task failed for id 6707676560. Can anyone please help?.

  • Hi David,

It seems like the underlying issue is the same. The apps in nRF Connect for Desktop use the same libraries to interact and communicate with devices. Please try updating nRF Connect for Desktop to v3.10 as Simon suggested in your other case, and make sure to update JLink to v7.58b as well if it is not automatically updated with nRF Connect for Desktop.

Since the issue is most likely the same, I will let Simon handle it in your other case, so as not to have duplicate tickets about the same issue. If you still have problems with the Bluetooth Low Energy app after the problem with the Programmer app has been solved, please let me know.

    Best regards,

    Marte
