Flasher is not recognizing custom board. No idcode detected.

Hello,

I know this question has been asked a lot. But I haven't found one that matches exactly. I'm trying to flash a custom PCB with an nrf52832. I'm using the on board flasher of the nrf52 dev board using the setup below. 

My battery is 3.7v and I have a buck regulator that brings it to 1.8v to operate the nordic mcu. However, the vdd referenced in the above diagram is connected to the battery line directly and therefore reads 3.7v. I'm not sure why the flasher is not recognizing the custom board. 

Could it be the mismatch between voltages (1.8 for mcu vdd and 3.7 for flasher vdd)?

If you guys can point me in the right direction I would be very much obliged. Let me know if you guys need any diagrams or layouts for clarification.

I'm using sdk 16.0.0.

Hi, you need a programmer that support 1.8V in this case, for instance:

Or you may try to add a bi-directional logic level converter between, though I have not tested this:

Hello Lukas,

Sorry for the delayed response I was waiting for the jlink base to get here. I tried flashing with jlink base and jflasher but same issue. I have attached a screenshoot of the output. Any thoughts?
