scan_adv example - why it is discovered multiple times?

Hello, All

I am trying the scan_adv example, and use my phone to scan the advertising packet, unlike other peripheral examples, I found that it appears multiple time with different MAC address, is this expected? In order to scan it easily, I added a device name and flag in the adv packet.

I use nrf connect SDK and VS code. I use  nRF connect Mobile app to do scan.

Do you mean it might be a Zephyr issue? Is the MAC address of peripheral/advertiser fixed? or changing?

It's the Zephyr's example, so I had directed you there to get the Zephyr's help soon because I would have on vacation soon at that moment.

Today, I read the first post again. Do you mean the mac address is changed each time when it resets? If so, that is expected. If you want the mac address fixed, you could take a look at this post and this post.

Yes, I am talking about advertiser's MAC address.

So, it is normal for MAC address to be changed like the example above? I don't think I have reset it when i see it multiple times with different MAC address. 

I am developing a central scan application, and would like to use MAC address as peripheral's ID, if it is keeping changing, then i would have received a lot of them without knowing they are from same device, is this right? how common the MAC address keep changing on fly?
