Hello,
I will start by saying that I am using an M1-based Mac for this. I believe I have loaded the correct x86 versions of things (like JLINK). I have nRFConnect 3.10.0 desktop and have installed the 1.9.1 SDK.
I am going through the getting started guide to update the modem on the Thingy. I have completed step 3 by supposedly successfully loading the bridge software onto the 5xxx part. I turn off the Thingy by the switch, hold down the button (S3) and power it back on. During this time it disappears from the Programmer application. I clear the files, add the 9160 zip file, and click write.
It brings up a dialog asking to confirm the operation, I hit the Write button. The dialog proceeds to say "Starting..." and seems to hang like that forever (more than 10 minutes). In the background window showing the log, in red I see the line: Modem DFU does not start due to missing serialNumber
This is literally my first experience with Nordic parts and tools.
Suggestions?
Thank you!
