Hi,

Unfortunately, the on-board debugger on the nRF52833 DK is not able to program the Cortex M33 CPU in the nRF9160.

Thank you for the response! Is it possible to program/load .hex the nrf9160 using segger embedded studio and nanodap usb ?

It might work for the application, but updating the modem will probably be a problem.

You will be better off with a J-Link debugger, either on-board on an nRF9160 or nRF5340 DK, or one purchased from Segger.
