Power Profiler Kit 2 shows non-linearity measurement result

Dear person in charge.

Before using PPK2 for a evaluation of current consumption, I checkd power supply vs corrent measurement by using PPK2 and 5kΩ chip resistor.

I expected that power supply vs corrent measuremen shows linearity, however, PPK2 shows non-linearity.

Would you support how to solve this issue ?

Can you see this issue ?

If this issue does not be improved, I can't use PPK2 for our evaluation.

[Issue]
・PPK2 result shows non-linearity.
・I think Range3(500μA-5mA) cause this problem because lower currents are same as Ideal (5kΩ / Vin) .

・I used Agilent N6705B (DC power analyzer) as reference data, this result is the same as Ideal.

So, this non-linearity issue occurs at only PPK2.

[Measurement Setup]

・VOUT : 800mV ~ 4000mV

(HW setup)

(SW setup)

・Power Profiler v3.4.5

  • Hello,

You can do some checking with 3V (within range 3) instead of 4V. As you found problem in range 3, it seems to be the problem with calibration. That is why we have ''user gain'' settings (Power Profiler Kit II (nordicsemi.com) that you can store by yourself to try and fix such an offset.

Can you please send the serial number of the PPK2? Our team can check the calibration check which is done at 3V.

    Thanks.
