Wireshark 3.6 and nrfsniffer 4.1.0

Hello,

i want to use the nrfSniffer in Windows. I updated the latest firmware (4.1.0) to the nRF52840 Dongle. I installed also the extcap Package to my personal folder.

The cli tests runs fine.

wireshark uses the folder:

also the plugin is listed in wireshark

the toolbar is also there

The Device is also listed in windows.

The final question, why is my dongle not listed under the capture devices? What has changed?!

In the Device list it is listed as "nRF Connect USB CDC ACM", which indicate that it is running the connectivity firmware used by nRF Connect for Bluetooth, and not the sniffer firmware. So please try to program the dongle again using the sniffer firmware (sniffer_nrf52840dongle_nrf52840_4.1.0.hex).

Flashing the correct firmware solved the issues. Many thanks.

Important to notice, the nrf Connect application (for windows) itself which is also sniffing ble packets, will require its own firmware. This was for me not clear! The wireshark firmware will then not work together with the nrf toolkit....
