Power Profiler Kit II: source voltage (VCC) higher than recommended

Hi,
I am currently using the PPK2 for current measurements.

According to the datasheet, the PPK2 supports a maximum source voltage of 5 volts. However, my device requires a bit more (about 5.2-5.4 volts). I tried it anyway and things work as they should.
But now I wondered if there could be an effect on the measured values. Are such effects known? Should I still use the PPK2?

Hi Kevin

I'm sorry, but this is not recommended, and we can't comment on what the behavior of the PPK2 will be if you exceed its absolute maximum voltage. It might still work, but we can't guarantee that the measured values you see at these voltages will be correct. It might still work, but once you have exceeded the maximum voltage I would take any measurements done with a pinch of salt.
