5340 Multiprotocol RPMsg Multi Image Build

Hi,

I want to build this sample https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/2.1.2/nrf/samples/nrf5340/multiprotocol_rpmsg/README.html  as a multi image build with the server echo to test as per the README.

I can't work out what steps I need to do to ensure they both get built.

I created a new application of the server echo sample, then did the same with the above sample, so I now have D:\WSpaceNCS212\echo_server\multiprotocol_rpmsg as an existing directory. But what do I need to do exactly with the configuration to make it a child build?

e.g. do I need to add a new file? Exactly where should I need to put the "add_child_image" section shown here https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/2.1.2/nrf/ug_multi_image.html

I still want to try and prove off a BLE and Native 802.15.4 multiprotocol app.

Hi,

The multiprotocol_rpmsg image should be automatically included in the build if you enable the configs for both protocols in echo_server and build targetting nrf5340dk_nrf5340_cpuapp or nrf5340dk_nrf5340_cpuapp_ns:

CONFIG_BT=y
CONFIG_NRF_802154_SER_HOST=y

Thank you. It does appear to do that for me, and is actually what I'd already done:

 Server and client echo - server crash when client on 

Still unable to seemingly get any 802154 devices talking to each other though.
