I tried another app (the HRS) and got a similar printf error. But then I found this devzone exchange: nRF5 SDK 17.1.0 examples is not compiling in latest SES (6.20a)
I removed the SEGGER_RTT_Syscalls_SES.c file from the project as recommended and the HRS app builds.
However it does not link. I suspect this is because Segger has a new API for printf that is incompatible with the HRS example. Any ideas?

I found this devzone exchange that suggested that I should edit the flash_placement.xml file: Build error
I gave that a try and things got worse. It would be good if your examples worked without all this debugging. I know we are only customers, but give us a break!
Any ideas for what to do next?

Guys, even poor blinky fails! What are you shipping?

Hi Bret
I would strongly recommend just installing the latest version of SES v5. In my case I am running v5.70a, and I don't have any issues with the examples.
If you need v6 for something else you can always keep both versions installed, just make sure to use the old one for the nRF5 SDK.
Best regards
Torbjørn
I downloaded SES from the Segger site as recommended by your "getting started" instructions and that version is 7.10. Is there a different place to go for a "down rev" version that supports the DK?
