nrfConnect unable to detect JLink after using version 4.0.0

Hi,

I have just updated nrfConnect to version 4.0.0 and I'm using the Programmer tool. The programmer gives me this message:

I tried uninstalling and installing the software as mentioned in:

nRF Connect v4.0.0 Programmer unable to detect version of nrfjprog DLL - Nordic Q&A - Nordic DevZone - Nordic DevZone (nordicsemi.com)

But this didnt work. Not sure what else that can be done to resolve the issue.

Hi Ehad,

The error says that the J-Link version does not match with the provide v7.66a. What is the J-Link version that you have?

Also, what is you Programmer version?

From the looks of it nRF Connect v4.0.0 is looking in the "C:\Program Files" directory for the JLink installation. I believe previous versions (at least on my machine) were looking for it in "C:\Program Files (x86)". 

Uninstalling JLink and nRF Connect and then reinstalling nRF Connect worked in my case. Pay attention to where JLink is going to be installed during the installation.
