[nRF Connect SDK v2.2.0] Build Configuration Failed | app: blinky_pwm | board: nrf52dk_nrf52832

I am a beginner on nRF trying to build my first application following this tutorial nRF Connect for VS Code tutorials - YouTube with my board - nRF52 DK with nRF52832. I followed the tutorial step by step until I got errors when building the configuration.

There are 1 fatal error and 2 warnings popped up which I could not find a way to solve it.

Please help to explain why they occur and how to solve them, and is there any way to prevent it happens again.

Hello,,

Are you trying the Blinky_PWM sample inside our SDK? Or have you changed anything inside the project files? Remove CONFIG_STDOUT_CONSOLE configuration inside the prj.config file and try building again.

Yes, I am using the Blinky_PWM sample inside the SDK, and didn't change anything inside.

I tried removing the line for CONFIG_STDOUT_CONSOLE in prj.conf in my application but it still fails.

This time the error message has slightly changed:

Hello,

I am able to build the sample here.This might be beacuse of some setup issue.Could you try building the sample using west command line?First remove the current build folder inside the sample and try building again from west. Follw this guide for doing the same.

Thanks for your suggestion! I tried building the sample with west command according to the guide but the same fatal error appeared again :(

I already re-install my SDK once but the problem is still not solved. Would there be any system reason that can affect the building?

Hello.

Please go through this tutorial once and make sure your installation is proper. I also suggest you to try one more sample and see whether the same is happening.may be try building the basic Blinky sample (same as mentioned in the tutorial).
