nRF Connect & VS Code Extension Display CONNECTED DEVICE as UNKNOWN

Hi,

I am using VS Code with nRF Connect Extension and facing a device detection issue. This is working fine but starts an issue after updating the latest nRF Connect Extention before three days. I follow below step but my issue is not resolved:

 (+) vscode nrf Connect no devices found - Nordic Q&A - Nordic DevZone - Nordic DevZone (nordicsemi.com)

Due to this problem, I am not able to do flash or reset the board or recover the board.

I have updated the latest nRF Command line tool and nRF Connect SDK and Programmer.

Can you please try to roll back the nRF Connect for VS Code plugin one version and see if the issue persists? (for debugging purposes)

Are you sure that the custom board is powered properly? Please note that the debugger itself doesn't power the board. It only checks whether power is provided.

Are you sure that the custom board is powered properly?

Ans: Custom board powered up properly and working. I am also using nRF52840-DK(PCA10056) board but the issue remains the same.

We saw several reports of bugs like these after the 2023.04.148 release. Did you try to update to 2023.04.179 which was released only a couple of days ago? I believe this update was aimed towards fixing this bug.

Even though it says "UNKNOWN", are you able to program the DK? And how about the custom board?

Ok, let us focus on the DK, since it what our developers are testing with.

Can you try to make sure the DK is plugged in and powered on (so that LED5 is on/blinking), and measure the voltage on VDD? What is it?

Does the DK work if you plug it into another computer?

What if you are trying to use nRF Command line tools directly from a cmd window?

What does it say in your case?

Voltage: 3.0V

Thanks, After running above command my VS code also able to detect nRF52840 SoC and I am able to flash board using both J-Link EDU and nRF52840-DK.
