Its a bit hard to read the output in your picture.. but most likely that the AT commands time out? This is probably because you are not running an AT host on the device that supports long AT commands. (Up to 3k). See prerequisite number 3. BTW what device are you trying to update?

I am trying to update the nRF9160-DK. I did see the prerequisite number 3. I need some guidance how to compile the nRF Connect SDK asset tracker with the AT command library enabled to set the CONFIG_AT_CMD_RESPONSE_MAX_LEN configuration to at least 3K. 

You should start a separate thread regarding compiling and configuring code. But anyway, try following this guide to get started compiling nRF Connect SDK: https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/getting_started.html
Find the asset tracker code under ncs/nrf/applications/asset_tracker
Then add CONFIG_AT_CMD_RESPONSE_MAX_LEN=3072 to prj.conf and compile the application for nrf9160_pca10090ns (nRF9160-DK)
