ble current consumption on connected mode

hello everybody,

I measured the current consumption in two cases : in the advertising mode the current is around 4 ~ 5uA, & in the connected mode, the current is 160 uA , I think the current in this case is very high , I expected it to be minimum than this, I'm asking about if there is any possibility to minimize the current in that case or not ? ?

I read on the datasheet that the Arm processor consumes around 150 uA besides the system current, so if this is correct, then we'll have an offset current equals to 150uA besides the system current, what do you see? ?

How, exactly, did you measure that?

Which connection interval did you measure and to which advertising interval did you compare it? That makes a big difference.

+1 to Marius, The advertising interval and connection interval matters for the current consumption because the system will be powered on for every radio activity for pre and post processing inside the softdevice.

@awneil I measured the current by unshort sb9 and connected the avometer to the two pins as said in the dk userguide

@Marius I measured it through all the advertising interval & while it connected, I measured the current at each event the currrent increases to 5 mA, I think it's due to powering the LEDS to turn on....
