Sending data from nRFCloud to an Android app

Hi, 

I'm creating a new ticket for a questions asked a few years ago:  How to have an android mobile app connect to the nRF cloud to retrieve the data? 

I'm in the process of also developing an app to send some data I've collected from nRF Cloud to Android Studios and the example in the original post is no longer available on devzone so I wanted to know if there any recent examples/guides I could use as a resource to learn from?
