error in executing panid command

hi i did the setup according to border router setup guide on Nordic info center. all run fine but when i tried to run command ""panid 0xabcd" it saying not found

"panid" is a command in the Thread CLI Example used to test the border router. Check "Thread CLI Example" in the Thread documentation: nRF5 SDK for Thread v0.11.0

ok .consider i have flashed thread cli example on one nrf52840 dk .where should i connect that nrf52840 board? (to rpi using usb?) and thn execute the command

You can connect the nRF52840 board with CLI example to your PC and use PuTTY or other terminal emulator to access the command line interface. This is described in the section "Testing" in the border router documentation.
