[Asset Tracker] GPS unable to work with NB-IoT

Dear Nordic Support,

I am doing some test on the Thingy:91 v1.0.0 in Vietnam. I am running 2 examples: Asset Tracker with NB-IoT + GPS and GPS.

When I use the stanalone GPS example, I can get the fixed GPS. However, when I run the Asset Tracker I cannot get the fixed GPS.  When I hold the button of the board to turn to GPS mode, it also cannot get the fixed GPS.

I am using the master branch, module firmware v1.1.0 and nrf9160_pca20035ns. 

I attached to log results with this post, could you help analyzing the root cause and giving me some hints to fix it? I really appreciate that.

Hi Duy,

Please get in contact with Viettel Telecom with regards to if they support PSM mode or eDRX intervals for NB-IoT.

In the asset_tracker sample, you are running the Modem on the NB-IoT network, where it tries to go into PSM mode to be able to turn on the GPS. If the network does not support PSM mode, then you won' be able to run it from default.

Sorry for my late reply, Viettel Telecom don't support PSM. 

Do I need to modify anything to make it run with eDRX? Or at least to make it run GPS and NB-IoT at the same time without PSM.
