I can't install the tool chain. The thing is telling me to install some thing called chocolatey. I can't install this

I can't install the tool chain.

Looks like I have to install something called chocolatey?

I can't install chocolatey. I tried the chocolatey website for help and was baffelled by the complexity and install options for this.

Please send me the toolchain as a file that I can install without the chocolatey thing.

I have the nRF52840dk to evaluate your bluetooth devices, but can't even get past this stage:

If I can't install the toolchain then the kit is useless and will go in the bin.

Try running one of these commands before running Get-ExecutionPolicy:

• Set-ExecutionPolicy AllSigned
• Set-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope Process

Then continue with all the steps shown below.

If that doesn't solve your problems, please tell me.

That is wrong, copy the folders arm-none-eabi, bin, lib, share and uinstall.exe into C:\gnuarmemb.

The only time you need to run Get-ExecutionPolicy is when you're installing choco. Also, you don't need to use the Powershell (except for when you're installing choco), you can use cmd as well (which is more user-friendly I think).

However, regarding your issues with installing west, check out this ticket, where another customer is having the same problem. Heidi provided this answer:

"Hi, yes, it can very likely be your company's firewall preventing the connection. You could try installing using your personal internet and see if that solves the issue. 

If it does, I suggest talking to your IT department about this limitation."
