Thingy91 Putty Console Output

How do I get putty to receive output from the Thingy91? I see output in the LTE Link Monitor with the following prj.conf config:

CONFIG_USE_SEGGER_RTT=y

CONFIG_RTT_CONSOLE=y

CONFIG_UART_CONSOLE=n

CONFIG_STDOUT_CONSOLE=y

CONFIG_SERIAL=y

What changes do I need to make to show output in Putty?

What sample/application are you running on the nrf9160? I assume it's the default firmware and that there are some issues with the AT commands? I'll provide you with some generic guides as well, how to get respectively serial and RTT logging to work with the Thingy:91. The below steps assumes you have the possibility to program the Thingy:91.

To get serial logging to work with Thingy:91

• Program ncs/zephyr/samples/hello_world onto thingy91_nrf9160
• Program nrf/applications/connectivity_bridge onto thingy91_nrf52840
• Use the settings from https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/gs_testing.html#putty
