Open SEGGER Embedded Studio button is not displayed at installing nRF Connect SDK v1.9.1.

Hello,

Follow the steps below.

nRF Connect for Desktop v3.10.0 -> Toolchain Manager -> OPEN -> Toolchain Manager v0.10.3 -> nRF Connect SDK v1.9.1 -> Install

"Open Segger Embeddedstudio" button is not displayed. 

I also tried SDK v1.9.0, but it was the same.

I have taken the following method, but it was not displayed.

For the time being, I skipped the button disappearing and ran SEGGER Embedded Studio directly from "emStudio.exe".

But I cannot create project.

My directories are below.

The problem of not appearing the button and not being able to create the project does not let me start my development.

Is there a solution? I need your help.

Hi,

Was the SDK installed correctly? When this button is missing it usually means that not all of the SDK and tools were installed. If it was installed correctly you should have these folders inside C:/Nordic/v1.9.1:

When following the steps in the case you link to, did the command "ncsmgr init-ncs" finish successfully, or did you see any errors?

We have mostly seen this issue happen in cases where people are using VPN or on a network with a strict firewall, such as a company network. Could this be the issue in your case?

Hello Marte-sann,

I have 3 directories only. This indicates that it is not installed correctly according to you. 

There were no error the command "ncsmgr init-ncs" finished.

I'm not using a VPN. I don't know well about Firewall, but I think it's okay because there are the man who could install it in the same network.

Is there anything I should try?

Can you try uninstalling the SDK completely, and then try to reinstall it?

I removed it using Toolchain Manager v0.10.3. And I installed it using Toolchain Manager.

...

The result was the same. SEGGER Embedded stuidio button does not appear and there are 3 folders in v1.9.1 folder.

Hi,

I have tried to reproduce your issue, but so far I have not been able to. For some reason the other github repos are not downloaded during your installation, even when running ncsmgr init-ncs. Can you try installing manually by following this guide Installing manually?
