  • Excellent tutorial.

I am in Japan, I have the kit but am unable to connect to the LTE-M network using the iBasis eSIM following the tutorial. Do need a different SIM in order to connect to the network here? Any recommendation would be appreciated.

  • Hello,

According to the GSMA deployment map, Japan should have nationwide LTE-M coverage and from my understanding you should be able to connect using the iBasis SIM.

I would recommend running the AT Client Application for debugging purposes if you are having trouble connecting to the network. If you are indoors, you can try moving closer to a window or moving outdoors to see if that helps.

Once you've loaded the example, run "AT+CFUN?" twice in the LTE Link Monitor window during step 4 and the modem should try reaching a tower.

If you need further support, please open a DevZone ticket by going here.
